What’s the FOV on your dashcam? Going from the 120° on my early G1W to the 170° on my A118 obviously made a huge difference in what I recorded. I was thinking about buying one of the Anker cams Shep is always pushing as a Christmas gift, but felt like the 140° they offer was really insufficient.

The other day I stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things (not a cart load) on my way home from the gym. As I was walking out to my car, bags in hand, a dude in a limo tinted black current-gen WRX drove right in front of me, like maybe a foot between his car and me, without even a hint of pausing before deciding he was going to blow in front of me.

I was still all testosteroned up from the workout and my mind quickly flashed on an idea to kick a giant dent in his door in the hopes that he would stop and roll down his window, which would give me the opportunity to tell him pedestrians have the right of way, then threaten to drop my groceries, pull him out of the car, and beat his ass in the middle of the parking lot.

But, being the gentle non-violent person I am, I restrained myself and settled on screaming “FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING MOTHERFUCKER!” at his closed window. He kept driving.

A lady walking in to the store witnessed this and joked, “people are jerks, right?!”

I get way more paranoid at 2-way stops. Especially with cars parked on both sides of the road. At least if everyone has come to a complete stop, theres only awkwardness that occurs rather than death.
